12:16 PM EDT, 07/27/2023 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with comment from a Microsoft (MSFT.NaE) spokesperson in the last two paragraphs.)

Microsoft (MSFT.NaE) should be held responsible for its "negligent cybersecurity practices" that enabled a Chinese spying campaign that targeted the US government, US Sen. Ron Wyden said in a letter on Thursday.

In the letter, the Oregon Democrat called on Attorney General Merrick Garland, Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Director Jen Easterly to investigate the alleged security negligence.

"Holding Microsoft (MSFT.NaE) responsible for its negligence will require a whole-of-government effort," Wyden said in the letter."

Here's the important, truthful, part - Wyden's son, Adam's hedge fund, "ADW Capital," must be short in MSFT, hahahahahahaha -

WYDEN is the ONE that should be investigated. How does a Senator making $174,000/year afford a $7.5 MILLION Manhattan condo??? Yep, he makes statements like "investigating Microsoft," so his son can grift off his father's BS. Either that, or Adam realized he should have MSFT in his fund. I'm guessing he's short it, though.

"Wyden's home is in Portland, Oregon, and he has an apartment in Washington, D.C. He has two grown children, Adam and Lilly, by his first wife, Laurie (née Oseran); they divorced in 1999 after 20 years of marriage.[159] His son Adam owns the hedge fund ADW Capital Partners LP.[160]

Wyden married his current wife, Nancy Wyden (née Bass), daughter of an owner of New York's Strand Bookstore, in September 2005. They have three children: twins born in 2007,[161] and a daughter born in 2012.[162] In 2016, they sold their 5,300-square-foot townhouse in Manhattan for $7.5 million.[163] During Wyden's 2010 Senate campaign, opponents questioned how much time Wyden spent in Oregon given his wife's New York residency.[164]"
